Leading e-commerce players Flipkart and Amazon.in are both set to kick off their festive sales on October 10. As part of the festive sale on both platforms, consumers in India will be able to avail amazing discounts on smartphones across various price segments. “Affordable” flagship smartphones such as the OnePlus 6 and ASUS ZenFone 5Z will be up for grabs at never before prices. Huawei Nova 3, which is the company’s latest “budget” flagship smartphone will also be available at a discounted price.

The ASUS ZenFone 5Z (review), which is available exclusively via Flipkart in India, will be available from Rs.24,999 for the 6GB RAM + 64GB storage variant during the Big Billion Days Sale. If you have an old OnePlus smartphone, you can get additional Rs.3,000 off over the regular exchange value. The 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant of the ZenFone 5Z will also be available at a flat Rs.5,000 off at Rs.27,999. You will be able to get the top-end 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant of the ZenFone 5Z at Rs.31,999 during the sale.

Amazon is also offering flat Rs.5,000 off on the OnePlus 6 (review) during the Great Indian Festival Sale. The 6GB RAM + 64GB storage variant of the OnePlus 6 will be on sale for Rs.29,999. For now, however, it looks like Amazon will be offering a flat Rs.5,000 discount only on the base variant of the OnePlus 6. If you wish to get the 128GB or 256GB storage variants of the OnePlus 6, you will only be able to avail 10% instant discount using SBI debit and credit cards. Additionally, Amazon will offer No Cost EMI options, free screen replacement worth Rs.12,000, and additional discount on exchange.

Similar to the OnePlus 6, Amazon will be offering a flat Rs.5,000 discount on the Huawei Nova 3 (review) as well. While the smartphone is priced at Rs.34,999 in India currently, you will be able to purchase one for only Rs.29,999 during the Great Indian Festival Sale. In addition to the flat discount, customers will be able to avail free screen replacement worth Rs.9,000, No Cost EMI up to 12 months, and attractive exchange offers.

Which Budget Flagship Smartphone Should You Buy?

If you are on a shoestring budget, the ASUS ZenFone 5Z should be your pick. As mentioned above, the base variant of the ZenFone 5Z will be available for a price in India of Rs.24,999 during the Big Billion Days Sale. That’s Rs. 5,000 lower than what you will need to pay for the Huawei Nova 3 or the OnePlus 6. If you don’t mind spending Rs.5,000 more and want the best budget flagship smartphone out there, you should buy the OnePlus 6 instead. The Huawei Nova 3, on the other hand, isn’t quite as good as the OnePlus 6 or the ASUS ZenFone 5Z overall. Unless you are a Huawei fan or love the design of the handset, we would not recommend getting the Nova 3 over the OnePlus 6 and ASUS ZenFone 5Z.
